WOMAN’S LONG DISTANCE RECORD.

BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT MILAN, March 17. An outstanding motor record was achieved by Miss Violet Cordery, aged 23, a British lady, on the great Monza track. Miss Cordery cove red 10,378 miles in approximately 6 days 22 hours 40 minutes, thereby establishing five records for long distance, performing an astonishing feat of endurance. The first attempt was spoiled through one of her relief drivers fading asleep after five thousand miles, necessitating a restart to-day. Trouble with the water pump and radiator caused two .hours’ delay. Miss Cordery is captaining a team, of six drivers in the Monza races.
