Indications that the League of Nations may ask the representative of the United States Government to explain the American reservations to the World Court ratifications, caused a great surprise to-day at the State Department, where the secretary, Mr Kellogg, said that. the Government was dealing directly with the 48 members of the court regarding their acceptance. Informal advice received from several Governments indicated that they approved of the reservations.—Reuter.
