PAT.EIA V. MAN ALA. A team of four .players from Pa tea motored to Manaia on Thursday, lien ijist. to try conclusions' with the Arana i a team. The day was all that could be' desired. The lawns were in very -rood order and the players very evenly matched, with the result that some very -rood and keen croquet was witnessed. The Patea players, who- arrived at 9.40 a.m., were entertained by members or the home club ' and the _ morning and afternoon .teas left nothing to he desired, while the luncheon, which was partaken of in the town itself, was very enjoyable indeed.
