ELECTRIC SUPPLY.
SOUTH TARANAKI BOARD. The special meeting of the South Taranaki Power Board was continued this- afternoon, when the board considered applications from surrounding boards for permission to supply power within the territory of the South Taranaki Board. Members carefully discussed the merits of each case. A permanent executive, consisting of the chairman (Mr L. A. Bone) and Messrs E. A. Paeey and -T. B. Murdoch, was formed.
It was decided to write to the Opitnake Board that, as a. result df a communication received from the Department. the board was unable to enter into any agreement with regard to supply within the South Taranaki Board’s territory.
Tn response to a similar request from the Kaponga Town Board, it was decided that the executive, with the engineer, be appointed to meet representativs of the town board with refer'once to an 'agreement being made. An application for permission to supply power to the township of Waitota'ra was considered, the engineer being appointed to confer with the Wanganui -Bangitikei Board. The Taranaki board asked permission to supply the Fraser Road 1 school and residence. The boundaries of the two boards meet on this road, one side being undeT the control of each, the school being on the South Taranaki board’s side. Permission was granted during the pleasure of the South Taranaki board.
