THE ARMY CHAMPIONSHIP.

TRENTHAM, March 10. The weather was warm and overcast with the wind at time quite brisk as the morning advanced. The territorials carried on the .second leg of the championship, but one practice has yet to be fifed before the army champion becomes visible. The cadets completed their championship, and the belt for 1926 goes to Sergeant Duncan, of Auckland Grammar School,' whose aggregate was 224. The runner-up was Cladelb Davidson, of Christchurch, with 199, with Cadet Sandford, Christchurch, third with 193. The territorial championships will be completed this afternoon and then ma-cine-gun teams matches will be fired and to-night teams will carry out machine-gun night firing competition, simulating the repelling of an enemy’s smpriso attack.
