SITTING AT HAWERA. BREACHES OF B Y-LAWS. Breaches or by-laws were dealt with at the Hawera Magistrate’s Court- this morning by Mr. J. S. Barton, S.M. Charged with riding a motor-cycle while not being,the holder of a motordriving license, Alfred D. Brook sent a written plea of guilty. A fine of 30s, with 7s court costs, was inflicted. Mcßobert Leo Wilkinson was charged with failing to keep as near as possible to the left side of the road when turning from Victoria Street into High Street. It was stated that defendant was within three feet of the post, on his wrong side of the road. — Convicted and fined 10s, costs 7s. Wm. George Tiddy, on a charge of riding a bicycle without a- light, was convicted and fined £l, . with costs 7s. Informations alleging breaches of the school attendance regulations against a local resident, which were adjourned in December last, were struck out with the consent of the attendance officer.
