WAVERLEY.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) SUNDAY SCHOOL PICNIC. On Saturday Sit. Stephen’s Sunday School held its annual picnic at the “Caves,” Wavefley’s popular beach. The children, teachers and a number of parents assembled at the Sunday School at 10.30 a.m., where they were mefc iby cars kindly provided by members of the church and were conveyed to the beach. After lunch the sport of treasure hunting was arranged by the committee of ladies and ’friends, followed by Lathing. The treasure hunt was very popular and most amusing, the children digging as if their lives depeded on their finding the coveted treasure. The weather was glorious and water lovely for bathing. At 5.30 p.m. the oars started homeward with their loads of tired but happy children.
