LONDON, March S. A hundred graves were destroyed in the Briitsh war cemetery at Thiepval, the scene of terrific fighting on July 1, 1916. A party of labourers tried to root up a wire, not knowing that it was connected with a mine laid in war time. An explosion following, caused a terrific crater. The noise of the explosion was heard -twenty miles away. Ten thousand, including many Australians and New Zealanders, are buried at Thiepval.
