HORTICULTURAL SHOW.

NOBMANBY FIXTURE. Splendid entries have been received for the 42nd annual show of the Normanby Horticultural Society, which takes place ou Wednesday and Thursday, March 10 and 11. As late entries are being received until to-night, everything points to a record being established. Up to the present there are over 1100 entries in. In nearly every section an increase is shown, par ticularly so in the cut flowers aud the farm and garden sections. The members have rolled up well to the working bees, consequently all arrangements are practically completed. The ladies who have charge of the luncheon booth have met with a generous response and would like those who have promised cakes, etc., to forward them early ou Wednesday morning; and assistance from those whom the ladies have not had time to N call on will be much appreciated.

The Hon. O. J. Hawlcen (Minister of Agriculture) has consented to “open” the show at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
