SWIMMING.

The weather has been most unseasonable for swimming of late, but despite that .there has been much of interest during the season. Hawera should endeavour, if at all possible, to secure a visit from one oxother of the big swimmers coming to New Zealand. It would be a fine thing for the sport. The Sydney Morning Herald devotes a quarter page to illustrations of the New Zealand lady swimmers, Misses Stockley and P. Page, after their triumph in the 100 yards. The course at the Domain is also shown, giving the very excellent divisions made so that swimmers cannot foul one another. Each is allowed several yards in width.
