FAIRIES IN TOWN.
Up and down the blue hillside, In and out of town. The fairies now are dancing Light as thistledown. Winding through the canopy Of the sombre night, Glimmering in the darkness, Each a golden light. Up and down the roads they run, Underneath the bridges. Stopping now at shops and stores, Just like restless midges. Grown-ups think they’re only lamps Fixed on cars and carts; But children know they’re fairies, In their heart of hearts.
