GOING TO THE CIRCUS.

Hunter lid., Mlthain, March 3. My Boar Smile Queen, —Just a short note this week. I will not describe the animals at the circus, but try to give you an idea of our hurry to get to it." Father and mother were late in getting home from the motor sports, so we children milked 30 cows by machine. When father and my brothers came, we hurried into the bath and scrubbed ourselves. fighting for soaps and sponges. The floor of the bathroom was swimming as a result. Although there was a nice tea ready we were all much too excited to eat it. I took a bag of wind-fall apples feed the elephants, but I gave the elephants only three. I ate all the rest myself, and they were sour, too! We left father to finish the milking, •and my brother drove the car. Many times we were passed by other cars rushing by in a great hurry, some with lights and others without. When we arrived at Eltliam, the train was in, and a great crowd of people was hurrying to the circus. After the circus I saw the elephants pushing and pulling the trucks to the station. On arriving home we had hot milk before going to bed. We slept in very i-.te the next morning. I am, your loving Smile, Trixie Carter. [This seems to have been as good fun as the circus itself. —S.Q.]
