FIRE BRIGADES.
ANOTHER HAWERA SUCCESS. AT DUNEDIN DEMONSTRATION. The Hawera Volunteer Fire Brigade fenni at the Dunedin demonstration achieved another success to-day, when it won the hose and hydrant (wet) event for which it was leading with a time of 20 2-ssecs when the competitions ceased yesterday. This gives the Hawera men their second win. OFFICIAL TIMES. HAWERA \S GOOD WIN. (RY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.' DUNEDIN, March 4. The hose and hydrant event (wet) — three men—was completed this morning, the result being:— Hawera, 26 2-osec, 1. Dannevirke, 27 3-ssec, 2. Thames, 29 1-osec, Four teams tied for fourth place, and the run off resulted: Grcenlane 32sec 4, Te Aroha 38,2-ssee 5, Taihape 43sec 0. Stratford 47 2-ssec 7.
