J JOSEPH ALFRED GOODSON, of 9 Hawera, Land Agent, liereby give notice that, I liavo applied to tlie Magistrate’s Court at Hawera for a license under the Land Agents Act, .1921-22, to carry on business as a land agent at 11 High Street, Hawera, and that such application will be heard at the above Court after one month from the first day of March, 1926, being the date of the first publication of this notice. HAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL. ■VTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Hawera County Council held at the Council Chambers on Thursday, the 28th day of January, 1926, the following resolution was passed:— In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by ‘‘The Local Bodies Finance Act, 19211922,” and “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913,” and the amendments of such Acts, and of all other powers enabling it ini that behalf, the Council of the County of Hawera, at a Special Meeting of the Council held at the Council Chambers, Hawera, on the 28th day of January, 1926, hereby resolves by way of special order as follows: — 1. THAT the Council of the County of Hawera raise a Special Loan of £10,,500 under Part 1 of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913,” for the purpose of paying off the whole of the outstanding balance of its antecedent liability as defined by “The Local Bodies Finance Act, 1921-22.” 2. THAT the said Special Loan be called “The Antecedent Liability Loan, 1926.” 3. THAT the currency of th& said Special Loan be for a period of 20 years from the 31st day of March, 1926. 4. THAT the. interest on the said Special Loan be at the rate of 1 £6% per annum and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of September and the 31st day of March in each year. 5. THAT a sinking fund of £2% per annum of the amount of the said Special Loan be created for the repayment of the Loan. 6. THAT the Council doth further resolve that, the said Special Loan of £10,500 and the interest, sinking fund and other charges in respect thereof shall be charged upon and be secured by a special rate of seven one hundred and twenty-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property in. the County of Hawera as defined in the second schedule to a proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette of 7th January, 1926, page 3, which special rate as intended to be created by the special order of which this resolution forms part.
