Hawken), in replying in Wellington on Tuesday to a' deputation which urged the Government to make dehorning compulsory. “It is quite on the cards that I will suggest that something he done in that direction next session.” The finding of the court in the case in which J. A. Gulliver claimed £45 11s 8d from the Alells Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., as interest alleged to be payable on 310 fullyrpaidup shares, was delivered this afternoon in the Hawera Magistrate’s Court by Air J. S. Barton, S.M. The magistrate decided that the plaintiff had not established any right of action against the company. At the hearing of the case, Air F. C. Spratt appeared for the plaintiff and Mr Beechey for the defendant company, but the former was represented to-day by Mr F. W. Horner and the latter by Mr B. Alalone. On Mr Horner’s application, the magistrate agreed that the motion for judgment should he heard on March 11.
