The missing Zimmerman story, “The Travels of Captain Jamesi Cook in the South Seas,” located some time ago in Switzerland for Mr! Cecil French, of Victoria, has arrived from. Europe to be presented to the Provincial Museum. The book was published in Manheim in 1783 and was written by Henry Zimmerman, who acocmpanied Cook in his travels. Cook was the first British Seaman .to. land on Vancouver Island. The existence of the book' had been doubted by. students of Pacific" NorthWest history.
