MOTOR-CYCLE TAXIS ARRIVE
Traffic congestion in American cities has been responsible for the introduction of the motor cycle taxi, ten of which have just been built by the Indian Motor-Cycle, Co. to the order of a big Chicago taxi-cab proprietor. Further outfits will be supplied in lots of 100 should the venture succeed commercially. The taxi-cab proprietor is strongly of the opinion that it. will. He considers that, because traffic in American streets is so slow, there will be a big public response to a speedy conveyance like the motor-cycle taxi that can slip through the crowds of cars. It will be cheaper, too. Streamline effects and tapering sides give the outfit a very attractive appearance. It is luxuriously upholstered. An official of the taxi-cab company has 1 had a test ride, and claims it is more comfortable than a four-wheeler.
