WANGANUI STOCK SALE. At the stock sale at Wanganui on Wednesday there was the largest entry of sheep for the season. Despite a large attendance of buyers the bidding lacked animation. The following are the quotations : Twenty-eight 4 and o years ewes 23s £2 6s; 23 forward cows £4 3s ;19 three. 265; 164 2-tooth ewes 22s 6d; 143 ewes lambs 14s 6d; 121 2-tooth ewes 16s 8d; 205 m.s. lambs 8s 3d 5 105 4-year ewes 7s Id; 33 m.s. lambs 5s lOd; 35 5-year ewes 8s 7d. „. „„ Forty cows with 38 calves £4; 2i 2-year heifers £4 16s; 39 fifteen-month steers £'3 6s; 57 fifteen-month heifers £2 6s ; 23 forward cows £43s ; 19 threeyear steers £6 ss. WANGANUI RAM FAIR. On Tuesday next the Wanganui Ram Fair will be held at Messrs. Jackson and Co’s yards, when a offering of some 300 sheep will, be submitted. The sale will commence at noon.
