Bridgeman, i'n a speech at Torquay, announced that the Admiralty’s economies would not only cover the whole cost of the new construction programme, l>utr would, also save the taxpayers over two millions sterling besides, without depriving the Navy of the power of carrying out its duties. —Reuter.
