FINE WEATHER AND LARGE ATTENDANCE. (Special to the Star.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb. 13. Beautiful weather favoured the Taranaki Jockey Club for the concluding programme of its autumn meeting today. The track is in good order and a large erwod was in attendance when the first race was run just after noon. (Winner trained by owner) The defection of Santiago left nine runners in the first race. Bustler, with 723 tickets, Koauau with. 512, Bonny Rill with 419 and Mountain Bell with 390 was the betting order. Frizzier was the early leader, but leaving the first fence Uncle Dave was in front, 'followed by Mountain Bell, Ratapiko, Bonny Rill and Sansalino. At the High .School bend Sunny Vale pulled up. Passing the stand Unele Dave led. from Sansalino, Ratapiko, Mountain Bell, Bonny Rill and Frizzier. The leader lost lvis position on reaching the back stretch, and' two furlongs from home Ratapiko and Mountain Bell were piloting Bustler, Bonny Rill, Koauau and Sansalino. Reaching the home turn Mountain Bell came through, attended by Bustler, then Koauau, Ratapiko, Bonny Rill and Sansalino. But when the field straiglited out Koauau came through to win comfortably by one and a half lengths from Mountain Bell, with Bustler three lengths back third, closely followed by Sansalino. With Anchor and Royal Mint withdarwn from the Mokau Hack, eleven lined up. Royal Form (681 tickets) was most iru demand. Vaward (544), Curraghmore (535), Glengariff (461) and Empire Camp (441) being supported in that order. When the field settled down Curraghmore had a slight lead on Empire Camp, with Royal Form, Lucernal and Lady Anstruther following. The lead was the same at the High School bend, but Royal Fofm had come into second berth, followed by Lady Anstruther and Toapaiti. As she reached the home bend Curraghmore held the advantage from Lady Anstruther, Vaward, Empire Camp and Royal Form, and in the dash for the post drew away to win by one and a half lengths from Vaward, which beat Empire Camp by a bare head.
