WELCOMED AT WAIROA

The Prime Minister and party arrived here last evening from Napier, after spending some time en rout© inspecting the construction works on the East Coast railways. Mr Coates was tendered a civic reception at the Gaiety Theatre, where he was welcomed hy a Targe and enthusiastic crowd, including representatives of all local bodies.
In response to the welcome by the Mayor and-* chairman of the County Council, Mr Coates touched on matters of interest. He received several deputations, and was afterwards entertained at a banquet.- This morning he is inspecting the harbour works at Waikokopu.
