DUNEDIN EXHIBITION.
1 WELI'TH WEEK CLOSED

The twelfth week of the exhibition closed with a grand attendance oi 1,495.170, which is equal to a wonderful daily average of 21.059. and yesterday added 1/,801 to the total. Tomorrow night the Exhibition Operatic Society mates its first appearance in the musical comedy “Floraaora, ’ which is being produced on a magnificent scale in the Festival Hall. The season will last till February 16, and oil February 20 the monster brass bands contest, which will .last a week and in which 48 bands will participate, will open. In a radio talk, Mr. H. W. Nobsbv, Queensland Commissioner, said: “In the course of a lecture about a month ago I gave listeners my impressions oi the exhibition. Since then many improvements have taken place, and today it is even more wonderful in its vast display and educational value. The remarkable attendance that is being maintained clearly indicates that the exhibition as an attraction is not standing still.” He instanced the wonderful display of summer blooms in the beautiful gardens and sidewalks, new Wellington and Auckland courts, and the additions to the already imposing British Government court, which, he said, should be seen bv all New Zealanders.
