A YOUNG ATHLETE. At the annual Victorian Public Schools’ combined sports, E. M. Davidson (Scotch College), who is just 16 years of age, won the running high jump with sft lOin. The bar was raised to 6ft |ih, in order to give him the opportuntiy to beat the record of L. H. Kelly (Wesley College), who cleared 6ft 15 years ago, but he failed. Last year Davidson put _up a record for under 15 years by doing 6ft 6£in.
