MUNICIPAL CONFERENCE.
PROCEEDINGS CONCLUDED. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, Eeb. 5. The Municipal Conference concluded this morning. A remit was carried that the travelling expenses of members of the executive in attending committee meetings be found on a contribution basis, and that the subscription be increased by' oil e-tliird. Mr F. J. Nathan (Palmerston N.) was elected president, and the Mayors of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin and. Nelson were elected vicepresidents; the Mayors of Invercargill TimarUj, New Plymouth, Upper Hutt, Fe.tonej Wanganui, Newmarket and the chairmen of the Johnsonville and Martinborough Town Boards were appointed to the executive.
