A lorry will be leaving the school about nine o’clock and. is expected to- leave the beach about half-past- three for home. It is to be hoped we will be favoured with a fine day,-and that the parents will roll up and 'bring the children along to enjoy the treat that is in .store for them. The many friends of Mrs A. Denham - will foe sory to hear that- she is again ill, and has had to enter the Stratford Hospital for treatment. I am pleased to be able to- report that Mrs. A. McDougall, who had to- enter the Kaponga Hospital for treatment, is progressing favourably and is expected to return to her home very soon. It is with, regret 1 have to report that Mr. J. McCandish has had the misfortune to lose his valuable trotting mare. Airo Bell is well-known in all trotting centres, and will foe very much missed in sporting lists. The school, which re-opened on Tuesday, is now in charge of a releiving teacher, Miss Burkhart. The permanent teacher for this school has not- yet been appointed.
