BOWLING.
CENTRAL DIVISION. A TRIAL MATCH. In order to decide which team is to represent the Central Division in the play-off with North and South a trial match was played yesterday at Stratford between Avon and Stratford, four rinks each, two playing on each green. The result was a win for Avon by a margin of 13 points. At Avon the home team won by 48 to 3D, and on Stratford green Avon won again by 4 points. IN THE, NORTH. New Plymouth, in a six rink match yesterday, defeated Inglewood on the green of the latter by a big margin, scoring 170 to Inglewood’s 116. A WIN FOR LADIES’ TEAM. At the West End green yesterday a match was arranged between three ladies’ links and three Ironi the men. The former won in each rink and finished 11 j> nine points to the good.
