TURKISH ATROCITIES
OUTRAGES IN IRAQ. FURTHER ALLEGATIONS. MADE BY CORRESPONDENT. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. LONDON, Feb. 1. Under the. heading, “The Unspeakable Turk Again,” the Daily Chronicle publishes the first instalment of four columns from its special correspondent in Iraq, who declares that the Laidoner report presented at Geneva touched: only the fringe of the subject. “The poliev of the Turks continues in the spirit of Abdul the Damned, namely, the extermination of all the Christian populations throughout Asia Alinor,” declares the correspondent. “If the original frontier line north of Iraq as claimed by the British had been accepted, there would not have been this fresh chapter of Turkish atrocities to record. “Villagers have been forcibly torn from their homes and deported, money has been confiscated, lives in many cases have been forfeited, and their womenfolk dishonoured. ’ ’
