HAWERA SCOUT HALL.

INTERIOR WORK COMPLETED. Since the last parade of the Hawt rr. Boy Scouts before Christmas, the interior of the hall has been completely lined and now presents an attractive appearance. It will be remembered that the new hall was opened in May of last year when an appeal was made for funds to complete the interior. Due to the kindness of Mr P. A. Burrell, who completed the interior work during the holidays and who is prepared to waive the matter of payment until the committee is in a financial position to meet the cost, the hall is now one of the finest of its kind among the small towns in New Zealand. The only matter that now confronts the committee is that of payment. A considerable sum of money is owing towards the timber used and a certain amount for labour. It is intended tint an appeal will be made after a deficiency suffered owing to the expenses of sending the troop to the .jamboree lias been cleared.
