(From Our Own Correspondent,) bowling matches. ST. JOHN’S v. WAVERLEY. The usual annual game between St. John’s (Wanganui) Bowling Club and Waverley Bowling Club was played on Anniversary Day 'on the A averley <u'een, and resulted in a win. lor the local dub by 51 points. The weather was not all it might have been, but did not seriously interfere with the day’s outing. The annual banner match between Patea and Waverley (holders) was played on the local green on Saturday- in splendid weather, and resulted in a win for M’averley- by one point after a veryhard and keen game, in. which Patea were unlucky to have lost.
