MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
KLTHAM SITTING. The first fortnightly ' sitting of the Magistrate’s Court at Eltham for this year was held yesterday. Mr A. M. .Mmvlem. S. M.. presiding. Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the following undefended civil eases; A. R. Gower v. Leo Fraei,. £2 4s (costs 14s); same v. J. Donvbroski, £2 os (Ids); Eltliam Land Drainage Board v. Manawanui Graham. £3ss 14s (£4 9 s 6d); H. Briscoe v. Ellen Bishop. £23 9s ocl (£4 6s 6d); Jas. Arthur v. H. Robertson. £27 9s 7d (£4 6s 6d); M. F. Qnalt-er v. E. Keriip, £3 10s (8s). On a judgment summons, George IT. Mattock was ordered to pnv £l6 12s 6d forthwith to A. D. Hall, together with costs amounting to £1 Is, or in default to undergo 14 days’ imprisonment. Charged with permitting three cows to wander upon Conway road, Eltham. Nigel D. Connell was * convicted and fined £1 and costa 7a.
