ATHLETICS.
AMERICAN RUNNERS IN NEW ZEALAND. (ItV tBIjKUHAPK TItBSS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON. Jau. 25. 'Pitt; American athletes, Scliolz ;mo Hahn, arrived from Auckland to-day and were oftieially welcomed by the New Zealand Council. Both expressed eagerness for an exchange of ideas regarding point's in running, and were also anxious to teach young athletes. They were favourably impressed wi-lt the New Zealand grass tracks. They leave for Gisborne to-morrow.
