DOMINION TOURNEY. PROGRESS OF EVENTS. (BY THLEGKAVH —-VREBS ASSOCIATION.) v DUNEDIN, Jan. 21. The Dominion bowling tournauieu (, which has now been in progress for t-n days is well on towards completion, tae singles competition being finished, while there are only three lots of players left in the rinks championship. Ihe pairs championship is not so well advanced, but this event lias been delayed to some extent owing to the tact that plavers engaged in it were also engaged in the rink games, the latter receiving preference. Al: green winners in the pairs competition have been found and quite a number of post section games have been decided. Two games have yet to be played to reach the semi-final stage. If fine weather continues, the rinks competition will be completed to-daj, as there are only two games at most to be plaved now. ’ The pairs competition will reach finality to-morrow m the ordinary course of events. The final ox the singles was playeo by two representatives of the Caledonian Club, W. Foster (two lives) and A. Trethoway (one life). Foster won by two points. Foster was the Dominion singles champion in 1918. The rinks championship is reduced to three, Harrawav (Dunedin), Gray and Thomson (Southland), each one life. NORTH OTAGO BEAT BRITISHERS. OAMARU, Jan. 21. The British bowlers played a team representing the North Otago Centre to-day, and were defeated by a majority of 12 points. The scores were: North Otago 155, Britishers 143.
