OPERA HOUSE, TO-NIGHT. VAUDEVILLE AND PICTURES. The coming attraction at the Opera House this evening will be the William Fox offering “St. Elmo,” starring John Gilbert, supported by such an excellent cast as Barbara. La Man-, Bessie Love, Warner Baxter, Nigel De Brullier and Lydia Knott. “St. Elmo,” which will run for two nights, was adapted by Jules Furthman from Augusta J. Evans’s wellknown novel of that name. A pleasing vaudeville turn, Ronnie and Monty, direct from Fuller’s, Wellington. will open a two-night- season at the Opera House. Hawera, this evening. The Wellington Times said: “Rarely has an act met with such instant success as the singing turn Ronnie and Monty, which opened at the King’s Theatre last night, for enthusiastic applause, rewarded their very first number and was repeated after each item. The charming personality of Miss Ronnie and the witty sayings of Monty leave not a dull moment, while the blend of their voices make harmony an outstanding feature. It is a turn that should not be missed.”
