Front Rank and Wild Work sprinted, down the back straight on the course proper, but could not be timed. Mimetic sprinted home from the three furlong post in 30 l-ssec. Grand Knight bowled along very freely when sprinting half a mile m Royal Divorce was always in front of Fool’s Paradise in a seven furlong gallop, run in 1.31, the first half-mile in De Luxe and Phoenix Park together dashed over half a mile in 49 4-ssec. Anklet and Mask were not hurried over half a mile, run in 52sec. Diogenes finished in front of vivo in a sprint over half a mile in 50 3-osec. Letter of Credit finished several lengths clear of Polyphemus after galloping five furlongs in 1.3. Nadarino and En Route finished practicallv on terms, with Minotus beaten off, at the end of half a mile, run m oOsec. Battlement and Torque were both going very nicely in a half-mile sprint which took 50 l-ssec. > M Ilka galloped smoothly in a half-mile sprint in 49sec. Vertigern was going better than Lucky Day in a sprint from the three furlong post in 37sec. Black Cat was not doing her best to run half a mile in 49sec. Son o’ Aline took 50 4-ssec to cover half a mile. Economist ran down from the threo fur'ong post in 39sec. Waotea alone galloped seven furlongs in 1.31 3-5 —a good effort. Te Monanui, picked no by Royal Mint ran seven furlongs in 1.32 3-5, taking 50?ec for tlie last half-mile. Inoe and Pleasant Surprise sprinted three furlongs in 38 l-ssec. Bevis and Royal Diadem were comnanions in a gallon over six furlongs in 1.17. ' Hipo was not doing his best to sprint three furlongs in 40seo. which Ora followed no with a half-mile in 50 3-ssec.
