Kelleway was dismissed shortly afterwards after giving three easy chances. The scoring then slowed down, the batsmen declining to take risks. Andrews brightened up the play, being the only batsman who tackled Grimmett with confidence. Taylor, who was quiet until uartnered with Andrews, then livened up, and the score advanced rapidly.
