Wednesday will .see an interesting and important swimming event in Hawera, tor’ on that day the championships of Taranaki will be decided. The meeting will commence at three o’clock and will be continued in the evening. The entries include most of the leading swimmers from all over the province and .several from abroad. (Joinpetition, therefore, is expected to be keen and should provide a great display. The nett will he held to assist in .sending the Taranaki team to the New Zealand championship meeting at Napier, later in the. month.
