The Riga correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says that because he refuses to recognise the so-called living church, the Soviet authorities arrested the Patriarch Krupitzki, also three bishops and fifty clergyman. Riots thereupon occurred at Charkoiv. as the result of which 500 sympathisers weie arrested. Many were kil'ed and wounded.
