GALCICTTA TEA SALES. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION' —COPYRIGHT. Received Jan. 7, 1.30 ; p.m. OALGCTTA, Jan. G. At the tea -sales useful seiectioms were offered. The quality was, generally, slightly below the previous sale. There was good demand for bettor ela-s.ses and dusts advanced half to ltd annas. Other sorts -showed a -slight decline. The average, prices for the commonest leaf were 13 annas G pice to 14 annas G pice, ordinary common pekoe and souchong 13 annas to 13 annas G pice, the lowest, even leaf pekoe 14 annas. — Reuter. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house under date of Ihe sth inst. : "The quantity available for this series, including old stocks, is estimated at 181.1,(K)U bales.” DAIRY PRODUCE. Messrs Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house under date of the oth inst. : Cheese.—Since our last report, prices nr“ Is to 2s per cwt. higher. WANG AX U 1 SALE:. Messrs Dalgetty and Co., Ltd., report having offered a fair yarding of sheep and a small entry of cattle a.t the Wanganui sale on Wednesday. There was a small attendance of buyers, but satisfactory prices were realised. On account of L.i.smore station 500 two-tooth wethers were sold for 22-s Gd; a nice line of GOO two-tooth ewes were passed, for 25 s- 9d ; fat ewes made 20s Gd and cull ewes 15s. Hereford bulls, on account of Lismore station, ranged from £lO 15s to £3 10s. to age; Jersey bulls, £4 ; store cows. 255.
