It is the intention of the New Zealand Institute of Horticulture to conduct examinations in the near luture, and already over 100 applications have been received from candidates for the New Zealand diploma in horticulture. This and other information was given by Mr. (1. A .(ireen, the Dominion organiser, to a recent meeting ol the Institute. lie .stated that probably a definite lour years’ course in horticulture in preparation for the diploma, would be issued before long. The London Daily Chronicle states that the Duke of Leinster has li eel an action against the Duchess, who was formerlv Jh.rv Etheridge, the actress. Ho has' also cited F. 0. Newell nscodcl'emlor with Lady Leinster. Ihe Duke in 1918 sold a reversionary interest in the Leinster estates to Mr Malaibv Deeley, ex-M.P.. for £f>7,ooo, receiving an annuity of £IOOO. OUTRED’S.
