WRITTEN IN BLOOD.
ECCENTRIC POET’S LAST WORK. BY CABLE—PEESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. MOSCOW, Dec. 29. Leaving a last poem written in blood, Serguey Essenin, who married Isadora Duncan, the classical dancer, committed suicide at Leningrad. His death recalls a scandal in a Paris hotel, where Essenin, who was always of a nervous, eccentric temperament, smashed the entire furniture of their suite during one of his periodic fits of rage.—A. and N.Z.
