LONG DISPUTE ENDED.
BY PURCHASE OF VALUABLE PROPERTY. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIGH" LONDON, Dec. 28. The purchase of Mr Graham White’s property at Hendon ends the dispute witli the Treasury protracted .since the Armistice. He manufactured war aeroplanes on a most extensive scale, necessitating borrowing about £380,000 from the Government. This, however, was subject to big counter-claims in respect to war aeroplanes and other expenses. Finally Mr Graham White issued a writ against the Government, which is terminated by the present settlement. The Daily Telegraph announces that the Government intends to. use the Hendon aerodrome as an important home defence station and -school for airmen. It was reported yesterday that the Government had purchased from Mr Graham White most of his propertynt Hendon, including the aerodrome. Trie price is stated to be about £BOO,OOO.
