The attendance and the course are good. Results: Tiritea. Hurdles. —Waioeka Jack 1, Slump 2, Comedy Prince 3. All started. Won by fire lengths, half a length between second and third. Time, 3.12 4-5. The Emperor fell and broke a leg. Whitmore Handicap. —Blonde 1, Bon Marche 2, Nine o’ Spades 3. All started. Won by three-quarters of a length a neck separating second and third. ’ Time, 1.27 2-5. Juvenile Handicap. —Kilperon 1, Standard 2, Alyson 3. Scratched: Avador.e. Won by a nose, three lengths separating second and third. r l ime, 1.2 2-5. . _ Liverpool Handicap.—Grand Knight 1, Tariadees 2, Imperial Spark 3. Scratched : White Oomet, Royal Diadem and Birthmark. Won by threequartens of a length, a head between second and third. Time, 1.57 4-5.
THE AUCKLAND MEETING. AUCKLAND, Dec. 29. The A.R.C. summer meeting is being continued to-day in fine weather. The course is in good order and there is a large attendance of the- public. Results: Fergusson Handicap. -Star Area 1. Miss Vera 2, Wen clay 3. Scratched: Nippy. Won by a length and a halt, a length between second and third. Time, 2.8. King’s Plate. —Reremoana 1, Lady Ridicule 2, M.andane 3. All started. Won by two lengths, four lengths between second and third. Time. 1.38 3-5. _ „ Ponsonbv Hurdles. —-Kaiwa 1, Grown Coin 2, Merry Singer 3. Scratched: Lucalient. Won bv three lengths, ope and a half lengths separating second and third. Time. 3.14 3-5.
