CHRISTMAS TRAGEDY.
TWO SOLDIERS ARRESTED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT. (Received Dec. 28, 2.50 p.m.) LONDON; Dec. 27. A Christmas tragedy occurred at TroAA'eridge. Edward Charles Richards was found shot in liis oivn garden. He made a statement to the police, who, on Christmas Day, arrested Bombardier John Lincoln at a house Avhere a party Avas progressing. Lincoln said: “Do not break up the party. I Avill come quietly.” Another man arrested was Bombardier lan MaxAA r ell. The theory is that Richards, Avho intended joining his wife and child at Swindon on the following day, found the men leaving his house, and a scuffle folloAved.
