TEN MILES’ CHAMPIONSHIP. (by TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) OPOTIKI, Dec. 28. The motor-cycle middle-weight championship of New Zealand (10 miles) resulted : Moller (New Plymouth) 1, McCreadv (New Plymouth) 2, Herbert (Auckland) 3. Time, 8.46. RELIABILITY TRIAL. The annual reliabi'ity trial held by the Hawera Motor-Cycle Club was commenced on Saturday morning (Boxing Day). At 8.30 o’clock the first pair of starters went off and the remainder of th e 27 competitors left in pairs at intervals of five minutes. Only one entrant failed to start. At 11.22 o’c’ock this morning the first of tlie riders finished dead on time and the others followed him at intervals, two riders coining in one minuteahead of time. ’ . The riders state that the trial this year has been very pleasant, although in parts the roads have been rather rough. Tim results of the trial will not be known until all the charts from the secret checkers along the route have come to hand , and all the machines have been examined for defects after the 300-mile tour.
