BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT SYDNEY, Dec. 27. A family named Ball were holiday camping at the Hawkesbury River, when their two boys, aged ten and seven, and girl, aged five, went to bathe. On the failure of the children to return a search was made, .and their bodies were discovered in the river, clasped in each other’s arms. LONDON, Dec. 26. Owing to the football ground at Bath being covered in snow, the referee for the Bath-Yeovil match said the game could be played providing the field were marked out with soot, but the whole city was searched vainly, and consequently the match was abandoned. MELBORUNE, Dec. 25. Henry Tacke, a middle-aged man, was arrested at Sorrento on a charge of murdering Mrs. Ray Currell at St. Kilda MANILA Dec. 26. Thirteen persons were killed and one hundred were injured when a theatre at Cuba was burned to the ground. The fire started in the film projection room. ’The audience became panic stricken and rushed the exits. Many were burned as the flames spread. Others were trampled underfoot. • An American with an axe cut an exit in the walls, saving the lives of several people.
