BRAKES FAIL ON HILL. (by telegraph—press association.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 28. Going down Belvedere Road at Kilbirnie last evening, D. McKay Robinson found it too steep for his ear. The brakes worked badly and he was forced to steer into a bank to save, going over the side. The ear capsized and Robinson had a. collar-bone fractured, several ribs broken and a lung injured. The road has many sharp bends and is regarded as dangerous.
