HA AYER. A CLUB’S MEETING. INTERESTING SPORTS PROGRAMME. Some good performances were registered at the Showgrounds last evening, when* an electric light sports meeting was held under the auspices of the liawera Amateur Athletic Club. In the throwing the discus event, L. Hunt exceeded his own West Coast championship record by 2ft. 10in., auc. in throwing the javelin event, S. Lay’s performance was about 10ft. better than the last New Zealand championship throw, and; about 811. short of the New Zealand record. Details of the events were as follow: Throwing th© Discus. —L.
