Big attendances are not usually expected at the exhibition on Fridays (says a Dunedin message), but yesterday the turnstiles registered 14,568. The cause of the increase was the opening of the Auckland and Wellington provincial courts. The North Island courts are very satisfying artistically, and have managed to capture the sense of space and dignity, hut they are lacking in dioramas and other striking features which have made the South Island courts so popular with visitors. The wall paintings in the Auckland Court, however, are widely admired. The vanguard of the holiday crowds has reached Dunedin. Yesterday the through express consisted of 20 cars. Sore throats promptly relieved by taking a few drops of “Nazol” on sugar. Quickly banishes summer colds la fid for 60 doses. —Advt.
