TO SEE AUSTRALIA.

200 BRITISH SCHOOLBOYS. LONDON, Dec. 1. The shipping strike has caused the postponement of the British schoolboys ’ tour of Australia till July, when 200 boys are expected to sail. They will arrive in Queensland in August, and wiil then visit New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, and Western Australia, returning to Britain in January, 1927. It is expected that there will be keen competition among schoolboys for inclusion in the contingent. Lord Clarendon (Under-Secretary for the Dominions) considers that many parents who are unable to find careers for their second sons will readily send them on the tour to ascertain whether they would prefer a career in Australia, after which they would provide them with capital to settle there.
