BENNETT AND SUTTON CUP
PRESENTATION AT MOKOIA ON FRIDAY EVENING.
Iu response to a request from the headmistress and committee of the Mokoia school, representatives of which Avon the cup at the athletic meeting yesterday, it has been arranged by the sports executive that the presentation will be made at Mokoia Hall to-morrow (Friday) evening at 8 o’clock. Messrs jVJT. F. Purser, B. C: Bennett, and. J. E. Campbell will represent the executive at Mokoia. At the same time the points prize, Avon by Miss E. Wards for most points in the senior girls’ events, will be presented POINTS PRIZES. The best aggregates to count for. the points prizes Avere: Seniors. —Boys: H. Jackson (ok.) 11 points, D. McCallum (Ok.), 101. Girls: EdAvarcLs (Mo.) 9 points, Mj. HoAvell (Man.) 5. Juniors. —Boys: E. Loader (H. Con.) 7 points, L. Gibson (Eltham B) 6. Girls: E. Aim (Nor.) 9 'points, N. Allan (Ok.) 6. SALVATION ARMY BpAjS.. GYMNASTIC DISPLAY The boys of the Salvation Army Home at Eltham, under Major Armstrong, yesterday AA r ere given a trip to Ha-Avera for the, day and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Towards the end of the afternoon they gave a display of gymnastics, including' a number of quaint and unusual stunts. The hoys did their AA'ork . remarkably xvell and showed the results of the good training received. Their efforts gained hearty appreciation from all present.
